Meet your friend-tographer

HERE’S A LITTLE BIT OF MY STORY, AND WHAT INSPIRES ME TO DOCUMENT YOURS . . .

So believe it or not, this wasn’t originally the game plan. I’ll be honest. I was raised by my great-grandparents and they took pictures of everything. We have albums upon albums of photos in our house, and I could not be more thankful for them. Long story short when I was about 7 or 8, I was handed a Kodak disposable film camera and I was hooked.

Being able to witness real life love epics, people enjoying the life they lead, and people learning to love themselves, is such an adrenaline rush for me. This career is rewarding on so many levels, and having the ability to document some of the most important parts of your story is so amazing. You should be able to hold onto every single fleeting moment, so it isn’t just a moment - it’s something that lasts for years, and years to come. In my opinion, you deserve to have albums upon albums too.

HERE IS THE "WHY" . . .

I get asked all of the time, "why photography?" Well, there are a million and one answers, but let me simplify it for you.

It gives me a sense of purpose. I get to witness real life love stories which is far better than any movie or book. Each couple and person I work with, teaches me something new about love each and every time. Whether it's about romantic love, or self-love, I always end up learning something new.

Being able to provide you with an experience where you can get lost in your life, even if it's just for an hour, is worth it. I get to capture your most sacred moments, one frame at a time. Knowing that I provided you with a carefree, adventurous, nostalgic experience, is what keeps me going.

Hiking and exploring new places (and some well loved places), isn't just part of my job as a photographer - it's something I love to do regardless. A lot of the time my dog Pierce will join me on my exploratory excursions, hoping to jump into any body of water he sets his eyes on. One of my lifetime goals is to visit every major National Park in the United States. Coffee is my weakness. Sit an iced coffee in front of my face and I'm bound to do just about anything. My day seriously does not start until I've had my coffee. Gilmore Girls will always be my go-to show and to be honest, I've probably seen every season at least 10 times. No joke.

One final note: there is never a wrong time for tacos and some tequila. Anyone with me?
